About Warriors To Bees

Helping American heroes become beekeepers

Warriors To Bees is the brainchild of veteran Steve Easom, of Slaughterville, Oklahoma. His vision was to use his passion to provide opportunity and purpose to our returning veterans, and to that goal he created an all inclusive beekeeping education platform. We train and mentor U.S. veterans and their support networks in practical beekeeping building purpose, community, and healthier pollinator habitats along the way.

Our mission

Warriors To Bees exists to serve those who served by making beekeeping accessible, supportive, and sustainable. Through training, mentorship, and resources, we help participants gain confidence with hive management, learn safe practices, and connect with a community that understands the value of teamwork and steady progress.

Why beekeeping

A craft that builds calm, skills, and connection

Beekeeping rewards consistency and attention qualities many veterans already carry. Working with hives creates a steady rhythm, a sense of responsibility, and a tangible way to contribute to local ecosystems through pollination and habitat awareness.

How we help participants succeed

From first hive setup to seasonal management, we focus on practical skills and real-world support. Participants learn core beekeeping fundamentals, get guidance from experienced mentors, and receive starter planning resources so they can build an apiary with confidence.

I came in knowing nothing about hives. The mentorship made it feel doable and the first inspection I led on my own was a huge win.â€
